Do The Dream Youth Development Initiative is a nongovernmental, nonreligious organization that focuses on using both formal and informal education as a creative tool for developing and empowering youths towards promoting change in society.
Do The Dream events/projects which include ‘Do the Dream Seminar, Do The Dream Leadership and Youth Development Summit and Do The Dream Leadership Library arose from a burning desire to reach out to high school students and kindle in them the desire to aspire for greatness irrespective of their background or perceived circumstances. The quest to see students maximize their potentials by exploring all the qualities inherent in them and stirring an attitudinal change gave birth to this vision. Ultimately we believe that this would cause a massive transformation in the next generation of Nigerians that would in turn impact the society and make Nigeria our dream country.
Over the years, the organization has undertaken several activities and projects focused primarily on teenagers empowering them to take control of their future. In order for them to do this, they need to understand the importance of various actions they take and choices they make today. Our aim is to promote the ideals of education, value reorientation and behavioural /attitudinal change amongst secondary school students. This will in turn build the capacity of the students towards aspiring for greatness, irrespective of their background or perceived circumstances, as well as empower them with wealth building and entrepreneurial skills that will reform their choices in life towards achieving the common goal of raising good leaders for Nigeria.
It is time to take responsibility by modeling excellence to the next generation (Oluwatoyin Aromire, President Do The Dream and author of WEALTH – Creating, Growing & Sustaining it). The Seminar has been held in over 80 Secondary schools in Lagos and a convention at Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State and has thus far given birth to many leaders who understands the purpose of their existence. The team comprises of great people whose understanding of “Real Investment” is impacting your world by investing your personality in the making of the next generation. These people understand the power of becoming the dream where they are, with what they have inside them. They have decided to look inward and tap into the diamond deposited in them and using it to recreate their world.
