Guardians of Environment – Connecting Posterity to Sustainability
Virtual Side Side at the World Summit on Social Development in QATAR
On November 5, 2025, DoTheDream Youth Development Initiative hosted a virtual side event at the World Summit on Social Development in Qatar. Moderated by Ola Oluyinka, Vice President of International Affairs at DoTheDream YDI, the event featured prominent speakers: Chaste Inegbedion (SEMAFORM Foundation), Arti Ahluwalia (ECOCIVILISATION), Joshua T. Berglan (The Worlds Mayor and DoTheDream YDI), Claudia Hopman (Global Women Leadership Foundation), and Adebusuyi Olutayo Olumadewa (Founder & CEO, DoTheDream YDI).
The session emphasized the World Social Summit’s theme of fostering inclusive, resilient, and sustainable societies through collaboration among governments, civil society, and the private sector. Adebusuyi Olutayo Olumadewa outlined the purpose of Guardians of Environment as a platform addressing the interconnected crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, while promoting blue and green economy value chains for global job creation.
Speakers highlighted critical topics including women’s leadership in sustainability, inner stewardship, AI’s potential for environmental guardianship, and environmental stewardship as a driver of social development. Claudia Hopman called for investing in women and girls to advance leadership and equality, urging bold global cooperation.
Joshua Berglan stressed the need for inner stewardship to reconnect humanity with nature, advocating youth engagement and awakening the “Guardian Within” to secure a sustainable future. Arti Ahluwalia introduced Eco-civilization and the INFUSE model as frameworks for transformative leadership focused on nature reverence and systemic change.
Kefas Longshak representing Chaste Inegbedion presented AI’s role in combating environmental threats ethically and inclusively, emphasizing empowerment over replacement. The discussion on AI’s strategic role included Arti’s concept of the “zebra economy,” advocating intersectionality in private sector environmental stewardship and critiquing current practices. The session concluded with a call for businesses to rethink sustainability through collaboration models inspired by transnational cooperation.
The event concluded by exploring a fundamental shift in human consciousness toward environmental responsibility. Speakers underscored the role of intersectionality in unlocking human potential for sustainable guardianship, emphasizing accountability in technology. Plans were announced to publish a comprehensive report and continue fostering dialogue and policy development.
