DoTheDream Youth Development Initiative (DoTheDream YDI), a Board Member of the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO), has been democratically elected and entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Regional Committee in Africa (RCA)—a substantive committee within CoNGO’s institutional framework.
This leadership mandate represents a significant milestone in DoTheDream YDI’s commitment to strengthening civil society engagement, advancing multilateral cooperation, and amplifying Africa’s voice within the United Nations system. Through the Regional Committee in Africa, DoTheDream YDI will contribute to fostering collaboration among civil society organisations, building strategic partnerships, and advancing inclusive, sustainable, and people-centred development across the continent.
This is more than a leadership appointment; it is a mandate to convene, connect, and catalyse collective action—bridging African civil society with the global multilateral agenda to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
